Bishopsgate Library is a quaint wooden library, which when you step inside, makes you feel like you are stepping back in time a hundred years, to the era of flat caps, cockney accents and Charles Dickens. The library contains a wealth of information on what it calls 'London, labour, free thought and cooperation'. The library is open to everyone with no membership required. The library is not public, but independent and funded by the Bishopsgate Foundation.
