| White Stuff, Spital Square @www.ravishlondon.com What cocaine? Or snow? Anyway I do wonder about the line ‘Lovely clothes for lovely people’. Given that only wealthy people would be able to afford the clothes in this shop on a regular basis, ‘lovely people’ evokes the kind of people who are tranquillised on the joys of being able to afford something that many others can't and thinking themselves lovely because of it. The kind of people that start rehearsing what they learned in last weeks self-defence class whenever someone in a track suit top or an eastern european accent comes within ten metres of them. Just to make it clear mind, this is pure speculation on my part, there is no evidence to suggest that ‘White Stuff’ (cocaine or snow?) actually did have this in mind when choosing the slogan – which remains a mystery. |
