| Camden Town Marks & Spencers @www.ravishlondon.com Marks and Spencer on Camden High Street is like an oasis of higher class living in a street full of people who look like they've spent most of their lives being abused, suffering from mental illness, harrowing boat trips from far off countires and disease. The craziest thing about Marks and Spencers in Camden is the automated voice which repeats 'Please hold on to the hand rail' for anyone wishin to travel on a moving ramp, with one of the shallowest inclines, connecting the food department to the clothes section. As a regular customer, I only need to hear that message two or three times before I start having to give up my search for organic brown bread, and hide in a corner, murmuring to myself and picking the dirt out of my fingernails. God knows what it does to the staff that have to work there day after day. Torture. By the way I don't really go looking for organic brown bread - I just said that to piss off the white sunblest eating chavs out there. |
