The Wells Tavern, Hampstead
@www.ravishlondon.com

The Wells Tavern was established in the eighteenth century after waters from a Chalybeate Well were channelled through to the nearby Well Walk. Given the popularity of waters rich in an iron content, Hampstead created an entertainments industry around the well, of which the tavern formed one part. The popularity of Hampstead faded by the end of the eighteenth century, but the tavern remains.

Dogs are welcome in this pub.
